Kitey has used the Appletons Tapestry Wool that is 100% pure English wool that he has personally hand dyed, making each skein truly unique!
Appletons Wool have a great heritage dating back nearly 200 years. They supplied a lot of their wools to designers in the Arts and Craft movement, such as William Morris.
There are 9 shades available and the gradient colours of these skeins would work well in a Bargello Embroidery Project with a combination of some other solid Appletons Wool Shades (please see the range I currently have in stock in my shop).
Each of these skeins contains 55 metres (compared to the normal 10 metre Appletons Wool Skeins I stock) so you will get a lot more wool to use in your projects with these skeins that will be very unique!
The tapestry wool is a 4ply weight that makes it ideal for use on 10 Count Plastic Canvas or 12 Count Tapestry Canvas (such as the Zweigart Mono Canvas) with a Size 18 Tapestry Needle (British brand John James Tapestry Needles are available for purchase in the shop).
CARE INSTRUCTIONS - If you need to clean the wool, I would recommend sponging it with cold water. I don't recommend washing this type of wool.
